Using Your Words

July 17, 2010

Our mom would tell you “Words are powerful.” (We will both tell you this, too.)  The most heartfelt compliments I ever heard our Oma give was when she praised one of our cousins, Tena, for taking the time to think over what she wanted to say before speaking.

Every time you open your mouth to speak you have a choice.  You choose your words.  Hopefully, you try to choose them wisely.

Encouragement, poetry, jokes, compliments, positive reinforcement & creative criticism are a few ways we describe what words can do.

You can change someones day today by putting some extra kindness into your words.  Give it a shot.  See how inspiring your words can be.
