Places To Go | Unionville, Ontario

May 28, 2010

It’s hard to get out of the city without a car.  It’s a downtown reality that it’s easier to live without a car, mostly.
Here’s what I’m going to suggest for you downtown-ers:
J-Snap works with a tour company that is helping to provide a shuttle service (courtesy of the Unionville B.I.A.) to Unionville from Union Station.   (This tour company also does one to Vaughn Mills, but that’s not nearly as nice a place.)

Now the point of this shuttle is to boost the shopping and business for the historic downtown drag of Unionville. The shuttle from downtown Toronto is free.  However, there is room for a couple of smart people to bring bikes and they seem to have some pretty nice little bike paths to hop onto.  I have plans to do this myself.

If you don’t have a car there is no reason to get caught in the city.  Heck, if you have a car this is a nice way to get out of the city without driving.  There were tons of patios that were comfortably full, great ice cream places and it would be a general-good-all-around-fun-for-the-whole-family kind of place.

And if you really need to get some serious shopping done, by all means, get on the Vaughn Mills shuttle.
